About Us

This is really one of the hardest pages on the blog for me to write.  I think I know who I am and why I even write but the minute I've got it all figured out some event happens that changes how I view myself and even life. So I will make the best attempt at letting you know a little about myself.

First I always want to say that I love the Lord.  Very simply I adore Jesus Christ.  Nothing has shaped who I am more than believing in, living for, and loving on Jesus just to have him in turn love on me.  I wish I could give some sort of eloquent theological sounding explanation of this but I can't.  This one single relationship defines so much of who I am that to even attempt to acknowledge any part of myself outside of my relationship with Jesus would be absolutely impossible.   To read more about this wonderful part of my life I would encourage you to click here.

Secondly, I married my high school sweetheart and I am living my fairy-tale life.  A fairy-tale with loads of dirty laundry,  my clothes that are a size too small (but I can't bear to get rid of them), kids running around in their underwear, and bad hair days most of the week.  However, someway and somehow he makes me forget all about that and treats me with so much attention and care that I feel like the Belle of the ball.

Next, I have three wonderful kids ages 8, 5, and 3.  Look at them.  How could you not love these wonderful creatures:

It has been the absolute best decision that I have made staying home with them.  Just living out our day to day life has been the most satisfying work I have ever done.  It is the most exhausting emotionally and physically and many times the journey has been riddled with self-doubt.  I mean who wants to mess up their kids.  And there are so many times you just don't know if you are giving them what they need but when it's all said and done I want to believe that I have given it my best shot.

This blog is really kind of an outlet to me.  A way of documenting what we do everyday.  A way of sharing how we do what we do.  Whether it's homeschooling, housecleaning, cooking, or just hanging out and having fun.  It's also a way for me to share my faith with others.  A way to show the world how a very imperfect family is loved by perfect God.  How he shows up each day to greet us and is present every night as we sleep.  His hand print is smack in the middle of our family and I absolutely love it.

Along the way I hope to offer a couple of printables, ideas, and inspiration that can help you on your journey.
